I am a visual artist and have worked as an art teacher in London for many years before moving to Berlin. Hence, presenting city tours comes quite natural to me. I am an art, art-history and history enthusiast and have worked for several different tour operators in Berlin before setting up this site. This tour is specifically designed for study and school groups, offering a guided walk across the
grounds of the memorial site of the former Sachsenhausen concentration camp and Soviet special camp.
Our tour engages deeply with the concept of the memorial site, with a strong focus on personal stories from both victims and perpetrators. Participants will learn about the different phases of the camp’s history and its later development as a memorial site.
In a broader historical context, the tour also examines the crucial role that the concentration camp system played in Nazi terror rule.
Additionally, this tour addresses the concept of memorial sites and the significance of visiting such places, including a critical reflection on the phenomenon known as "dark tourism."

(additional tickets: €11 per person) - Accompanied round-trip from and to Berlin by public transport:
€90 for the guide
+ all guests require an ABC day ticket (€12,30 p.p., not included in the booking price)
We can arrange a meeting point (such as your hotel or seminar venue) and travel from there by public transport to Oranienburg and then to the memorial site.
After the tour at the memorial, your guide will accompany the group back to Berlin on the same route.
Our guides are licensed to conduct tours at the memorial site. Large and small groups are registered at the reception, and as the organizer of a guided tour, we contribute a set fee per visitor to support the preservation of the memorial. This fee is, of course, included in your tour price.
